About Us
Founded over 30 years ago, SCRC has gone from strength to strength, welcoming adult members from Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire. Riders and horses are guaranteed quality time with trainers enabling them to enjoy progression at their own speed, without the feel of needing to keep up with the youngsters!
Our members renew their membership year after year and keep on improving, enjoying the training and the competing. They have diverse interests ranging from happy hackers, social only, riding club competitors to affiliated dressage, show jumping and horse trials.
Every member has a say on what training or which events they would like to see organised. The committee does their best to accommodate everyone, whether they are affiliated competition riders or those wanting to improve at the same time as having fun with their horses and a giggle with some like-minded people.
The club enjoys sending teams to local and national team events across all disciplines, entering in both Novice and more advanced classes. Training is held before events and the day is always eventful - all for one and one for all! Our highest team award at national championship level has been 2nd place on several occasions in different disciplines plus individual winners.
