LIFT FOR CAMP REQUIRED

I was just wondering if there was anyone from the Eccleshall/loggerheads area going on camp that I could share a lift with? My mare is 16.2hh it would have to be a lorry she will only travel in a trailer without the partition! ( the car i usually use to tow is being used that weekend) typical!

Camp 2007

For those of you who wondered whether you wanted to go to camp, but was not sure what it was going to be like, just read the thank you notes Vic and Ann Mary received.  We were overwelmed! Both trainers went down extremely well.

Thanks for all your efforts to make camp such a special event.  We will be back.  Best wishes. Jan.

Just a quick email to thank you for a great weekend. I feel my show jumping lesson went really well, was amazed we were still able to do the X country after all that rain, and the quadrille sessions were good fun. Venue/ facilities suited Riley & me fine, very relaxed atmosphere. The mix of people in each ride seemed to work very well, & I know that takes a lot of sorting. Your organisation skills were brilliant, sorting everyone out. The food was fantastic, please pass my appreciation on to the chief. Thank you again. Sue & Riley

A huge thank you to both of you for your marvelous work over camp.  The food was ace, the organisation great and what a super atmosphere--you must be well pleased. Gill

Just wanted to say ‘thanks so much! For a great weekend. I know how much hard work went into the organisation and smooth running of camp. We had an excellent time. See you soon. Rebecca, Denise, Bella & Peanut

Just a quick note to say thank you for all your efforts to make this year’s club camp such a success. I really enjoyed myself – despite the soaking I got on the first night!  The lessons & trainers were great and the venue – so nice to be relaced and have place to ourselves. The catering was most excellent & plentiful – jum jum! Well done to you both. Thanks again, love Ruth Dalton

This is just a quick note to say thank you for organising such a lovely. Camp. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend – despite the somewhat variable & inclement weather. Thank you, too, to Vic for his sterling work in the kitchen. You had obviously both worked so hard and your efforts were much appreciated. I am already looking forward to bringing Kitty again next year! Best wishes, Gillian Plant.

Thank you so much for a great weekend. Everything was so well organised and the quality of the food outstanding. I never thought, after last year we could repeat such a good time, but we did. Hope we have many more camps. Many thanks. Jan Davidson.

Also text message of thanks from Jane Hargreaves, Lynn Tabbinor and Liza Randall. Can’t let you know what they said as phone broke down after the weekend, currently being mended included all old messages!

Organisers were:
Sheila Haywood, 83 Heathend Road, Alsager, Stoke-on-Trent, ST7 2SH.

Ann Mary Ware, The Bungalow, Biddulph Park Road, Biddulph Park, Stoke on Trent, ST8 7SH.

Information form and Tips and Hints available.

Photos of Celia Tebbs and Shirley Cadwallader who went to a training session with Bill Levvett prior to camp, to make sure he was the kind of trainer we wanted.

Celia Tebbs Shirley Cadwallader

Absolutely fantastic.  Bill easily coped with telling each of them different tips.  He commented on approaches, take off, landings and canter rhythm taking into account the combination of both horse and rider, so gave different advice to both of them, at the same time.  Bill quickly worked out that Shirley's horse was spooky, advised her to get her horse to move quickly away from the jump after landing, establish a forward going canter early on,  what a difference.  Celia has a very scopy horse and she learnt that it doesn't matter which stride you are on, just keep in balance and take whatever the horse decides, as a result the jumps appeared much more effortless.

A sub-committee has been formed to create a wonderful weekend for you where you can both enjoy riding your horse plus have fun with the other members.
